The Minister of Health: Inefficiency of the tests provided by the World Health Organization prevent the accurate number of infections from being given in Corona

The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakkil, confirmed today, Saturday May 30th 2020, that the rates of recovery from the Corona virus are very high in Yemen due to curbing the media terrorism, which is responsible for a large part of the deaths around the world.

Al-Mutawakil stressed, during a public meeting of health cadres in hospitals and public and private health centers in the capital’s secretariat in the presence of the Minister of Civil Service, that the inefficiency of the tests presented to us by World Health Organization and the confusion between corona and seasonal influenza prevented giving an accurate number of cases, indicating that this situation exists in the world.

He noted that the Ministry of Health's treatment of patients comes out of their human right to care and not as stock market figures that the media are racing to address.

He pointed out that the complete closure proved its mistake at the global level and now the countries have started to ease the procedures of the closure and return to normal life.

He considered that there is media terrorism until the disease turned into a stigma, and this matter stood behind it the malicious media policy that ignores humans and turns them into a number for bidding

He pointed out that our people in Aden have taken refuge in hospitals in Sana'a with the intention of treatment, and the treatment of all Yemenis is being pursued with self-efforts amid international organizations' failure.

The Minister of Health called on the medical staff to take the highest preventive precautions during the next three months, stressing public and private hospitals to allocate sections for isolation and patient reception.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health announced a list of hospitals that are not committed to infection control measures, and gave them an opportunity three days before taking legal measures against them, including closure.
