The Prime Minister praises the efforts of the Ministry of Health in reducing the repercussions of the aggression and siege

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor praised the vital activities of the Ministry of Public Health and Population and its efforts to reduce health challenges resulting from the aggression and blockade and to continue providing services to society.

This came during his meeting today with the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil, who briefed him on the ministry’s activities for the past period and the general health situation, especially with regard to the emerging corona virus and the continuing state of epidemiological follow-up and surveillance of this epidemic.

Minister Al-Mutawakil referred to the ministry’s preparations to face epidemics related to the winter season according to a health plan that covers the various regions that witness the registration of infections with a number of epidemics, especially diphtheria,malaria and dengue fever ... pointing to the ministry’s program to combat polio, which has begun to appear again in some governorates and the on going work to provide vaccines. Necessary.

The Minister of Health affirmed that the Ministry had completed the implementation of the networking project between the Ministry and hospitals, which would serve the exchange of health information and data in a timely manner, establish an integrated database on the health sector and enhance the level of communication between the Ministry and hospitals.

He pointed out that this measure will enhance the continuous access to medical and therapeutic activities in a way that serves the consolidation and development of the general level of performance in health facilities.
