Minister of Public Health Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, Minister of Higher Education Hussein Hazeb and Governor Ibb inaugurated the activities of the Scientific Conference on Heart Disease in Yemen

Minister of Public Health Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, Minister of Higher Education Hussein Hazeb and Governor Ibb inaugurated the activities of the Scientific Conference on Heart Disease in Yemen, with the participation of 750 doctors.


   Minister of Health: This comprehensive Yemeni health conference coincides with the occasion of two thousand days of steadfastness in the face of aggression and siege, including steadfastness in the health sector.


   The Minister of Health: Heart disease has increased 3 times since the start of the assault, and this requires that there be research on the association of weapons used by the coalition with this high rate.


   Minister of Health: Due to the high rates of birth defects associated with the heart, we lack nurseries and basic medical equipment for treatment.


   Minister of Health: UNICEF provided only 100 nurseries during 6 years of aggression, out of a need for 2,000 nurseries.


   Minister of Health: Today we are missing a ventilator for children under 1 year old and they are condemned to death for lack of this device.


   Minister of Health: The World Health Organization has only transferred 29 patients to the medical bridge.


   Minister of Health: Cardiac catheterization devices in Yemen are no longer useful and the World Health Organization refused to provide us with a catheter device.


   Minister of Health: The stopping of the international contribution to the health sector aims to create more burdens for the health sector and the Yemeni citizen who is under aggression and blockade.


  Minister of Health: Holds the United Nations fully responsible for the death of child Shawky Al-Abara after waiting for the medical bridge for two full years.


   Minister of Health: The continued closure of Sana'a airport by the aggression coalition is a stain on the United Nations and the world.


   Minister of Health: I call on doctors to take into account the difficult situation of citizens following the blockade, and I welcome the response to the initiative to reduce the cost of catheterization operations.


   Minister of Health: Over the next few weeks, we will announce unified pricing for the private medical sector.


   Minister of Higher Education Hussein Hazeb: We congratulate the sons of Ibb and Yemen for the establishment of Jableh University for medical sciences.

 

   Hazeb: We affirm the law of 2023 with respect to the application of academic standards and eligibility for recognition of Yemeni universities internationally and in accordance with the national vision.
