The Ministry of Health started a training course on strategic planning, organized by the Ministry of Disease Control and Epidemiological Surveillance Department, in cooperation with the Middle East Network for Community Health (AMFENET), the Training Program for Field Epidemiology.
The six-day course aims to provide 20 trainees from the directors of the Disease Control Department with knowledge and skills on how to prepare strategic plans, formulate the vision, mission, values and strategic goals, and how to write projects and formulate reports.
At the opening of the session, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Care Sector, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mansour, emphasized the Ministry's keenness to build human capacities and enhance skills in aspects of planning to improve the care sector.
For his part, Director of Disease Control and Surveillance Dr. Khaled Al-Moayad pointed out the importance of the course in preparing technical strategic plans in scientific ways based on advanced administrative rules and submitting high-quality reports, in a way that would improve the level of performance.
For his part, the Director of the Field Epidemiology Training Program, Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Kahlani, explained the importance of such leadership courses, indicating that the course is a step in the right direction to qualify health work leaders.
The inauguration was attended by Khadija Al-Amrani, the representative of the Amfment organization in Yemen.
