Inauguration of the work of the CT scanner at Al-Thawra Hospital in Al-Bayda

The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, inaugurated the work of the CT scanner at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Al-Bayda Governorate, which costs $480,000 with funding from the World Health Organization.

The Minister Al-Mutawakkil, along with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration, Ahmed Al-Shawtry, and the Director of the Public Health and Population Office in the governorate, Dr. Mujahid Al-Khatry, heard from the hospital director, Dr. Nasser Al-Ajili, an explanation about the components of the device and its importance in making a qualitative leap in the hospital’s medical and treatment services, and the hospital’s need to open new departments and provide them with devices and equipment medical, to improve the services provided to patients and those who frequent it.

The Minister of Health stressed that the inauguration of the CT scanner  in the hospital will contribute to diagnosing diseased cases, pointing to the keenness to provide the necessary medical equipment to include various hospitals, especially in light of the current circumstances as a result of the continued aggression and siege.

He expressed the hope that providing the hospital with CT scan equipment will drive the development of health and medical services provided to citizens... praising the role of the World Health Organization in providing CT scans to meet the hospital's needs.

He praised the efforts of the health cadres at Al-Thawra General Hospital and the health sector in the governorate, and their steadfastness and steadfastness in providing health services.

While the director of the health office in the governorate appreciated the support of the leadership of the Ministry of Health for the health sector in the governorate and its interest in providing the needs of the liberated districts and providing Al-Thawra General Hospital with a CT scan device through the World Health Organization.

Dr. Al-Khatri pointed out what has been achieved for the health sector in the governorate, despite the challenges imposed by the aggression and the siege. He praised the support of the local authority to the health sector in the governorate and overcoming difficulties in a way that contributes to providing services to citizens in various directorates.

The Minister of Health, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration and the Director of the Health Office in the governorate, Dr. Al-Khatry, were briefed on the progress of work in the various departments of the hospital, the difficulties facing the workflow and their needs.

The inauguration was attended by the Director of the Health Office in Dhamar Governorate, Dr. Khaled Al-Hajji, the Director of the Higher Institute of Health Sciences in Al-Bayda Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Baqshi, the Director of the Health Care Department in the Health Office, Dr. Mujahid Al-Madra’i, the Director of Medical Supply in the Health Office, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Muraisy, and health cadres in the governorate.
