The closure of four private hospitals in the capital's secretariat (Amanat Al-Asemah) for refusing to receive sick cases

Today, Monday 1st of June 2020, the Public Health and Population Office of the Capital Secretariat (Amanat Al-Asemah) closed four private hospitals for its failure to receive sick cases.

The Director of the Health Office in Amanat Al-Asemah, Dr. Mutahar Al-Marwani, explained that the closure of private hospitals comes due to their failure to comply with the terms of infection control and the allocation of isolation departments, and their refusal to receive suspected medical cases.

He stressed that the hospitals that were closed violated the directives of the Ministry of Health and the Higher Committee for Epidemic Control, noting that the field descent of monitoring and inspection of private hospitals will continue during the coming days to ensure the extent of their commitment to the decisions of the Ministry of Health.

He also stressed that private medical hospitals bear legal, humanitarian and moral responsibility, especially in light of the circumstances the country is going through.

Dr. Al-Marwani directed the district health offices to intensify the field visits to private hospitals, to ensure their commitment to infection control conditions, interact with any complaint, and take measures against any private hospital refusing to receive sick cases.

He called on citizens to inform the operations of the office on the following numbers (01468156) (01468155) (776090003) in the event that any private hospital refuses to receive suspected medical cases.
